Client Needs:
A privately held company that operated a chain of retail/wholesale establishments required valuations on a portfolio of 180 properties. The portfolio was quite diverse and included retail, warehouse, office, vacant land, residential lots and special purpose properties.

Why RECI:
RECI was contacted because of the experience of its principals and senior staff in performing valuations on a national basis for more than 30 years. Prior to this engagement, RECI had been preparing appraisals for the client in several Midwest markets. They came to our firm again because they believed we could leverage our experience performing valuation and counseling work nationally and cost-effectively produce appraisals on 180 properties.

Solution:
RECI’s appraisers were assigned properties based on their regional concentration. Senior staff managed the deployment of personnel to the field, managed the entire valuation process, which in some cases involved a second site visit and then reviewed the completed appraisal reports. The appraisal reports were delivered to the client with 60 days.
